Litchfield County Renovation

Built in 1942 as a small hunting cabin, this house suffered from several ill-conceived additions. Our renovation sought to make the house rational and whole, while maintaining it’s original character. Without increasing the footprint, we carved out a new bedroom, changed the circulation, and re-envisioned the kitchen using the original cabinetry. Fixtures and finishes were updated, and the thermal performance of the home was improved with new windows, air sealing, and increased insulation.
